RTI Blockchain Voted Most Promising Supply Chain Scale-up at inNOWvate Supply Chain Event 2023

The Dutch scale-up RTI Blockchain has won the sixth European Supply Chain Scale-up Contest during the inNOWvate Supply Chain Event on May 11, 2023. During this on-site event, RTI Blockchain convinced the present supply chain managers of the value of its registration platform in providing insight into where reusable load carriers are located in the supply chain through simple registration and integrations with existing systems.

Blockchain breekt door als standaard voor emballagestromen in de bouw

Blockchain gaat een grote rol spelen in de bouw- en installatiesector. Dat verwachten Draka, Technische Unie en RTI Blockchain op basis van een succesvolle proef. Hierin werd de technologie toegepast om (retour)zendingen van kabelhaspels te reguleren. Dat is duurzaam, efficiënt en maakt statiegeld heffen overbodig. Daarom besloot het trio de toepassing branchebreed op te schalen. Zij stellen hun platform open voor andere emballageproducten en deelnemers. Het initiatief kan voor een doorbraak van blockchain in de grootzakelijke markt zorgen en is genomineerd voor de Computable Awards 2022.

Traceable cable reels through Blockchain nominated for Computable Awards 2022

Ask a cable supplier or a technical wholesaler where its articles are located, and the answer is quickly given: in the factory, in the wholesaler's system, or at the customer's. Customers pay for cables, and it makes sense that it is precisely clear which product is where at any time. But this answer cannot be given as self-evident for the carrier of the cable, the reel. Load carriers are not followed by default in the chain. Yet there are good reasons to do so, both financially and for circularity reasons. Draka, Technische Unie, and RTI Blockchain recently completed a pilot and have now been nominated for the Computable Awards 2022 in the large corporate ICT-projects category.

Draka en Technische Unie traceren haspels met Blockchain-technologie van RTI Blockchain. Eerder, in oktober 2021, lanceerden deze driehoekssamenwerking een persbericht over de start van het project. Nu, ruim een half jaar later wordt het project bekroond met een nominatie voor de Computable Awards 2022 in de categorie: grootzakelijke ict-projecten. Dit zijn de 10 beste grootzakelijke ict-projecten!
